Garage Policy: Parts Collection & Vehicle Storage

At The X-Plug (Motorzone International Ltd), we are committed to providing professional automotive services while ensuring transparency regarding the handling of removed parts and vehicle storage. Please review the following policy carefully.

1. Ownership of Removed Parts

All parts removed or replaced during repairs—including mechanical, electrical, and body components—remain the property of the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Collection of Removed or Defective Parts

Clients are required to collect all removed or replaced parts within seven (7) days from the date the repair is completed and notification is issued.

3. Storage Charges for Uncollected Parts

Removed or replaced parts that are not collected within the stated period will attract storage charges as follows:

  • KES 50 per day for uncollected parts
  • Charges begin on the 8th day after repair completion and notification

4. Disposal of Uncollected Parts

If removed or replaced parts remain uncollected beyond a reasonable period:

  • The X-Plug (Motorzone International Ltd) reserves the right to dispose of such parts at its discretion
  • Disposal will only occur after prior notice has been issued to the client using the contact details provided
  • Any handling or storage costs associated with disposal may be charged to the client

5. Vehicle Collection Policy

Clients are required to collect their vehicles promptly after being notified that repairs or services have been completed.

6. Vehicle Storage Charges

Vehicles not collected within seven (7) days after repair completion and notification will incur storage charges as follows:

  • KES 200 per day for uncollected vehicles
  • Charges begin on the 8th day after notification

7. Limitation of Liability

The X-Plug (Motorzone International Ltd) shall not be held liable for:

  • Loss, damage, or deterioration of uncollected removed parts
  • Any risks, damages, or losses associated with vehicles left beyond the permitted collection period

8. Client Agreement

By authorizing repair or service work, the client acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this policy, including:

  • Collection of removed or replaced parts within the stated period
  • Applicable storage charges for uncollected parts and vehicles
  • Disposal procedures for uncollected parts
  • Limitation of liability for delayed collection
